Does California's MyFirstEV rebate apply to a new BMW?
Not as the program launched. MyFirstEV, which started on August 7, 2026, gives first-time EV buyers and lessees $3,500 off new zero-emission vehicles priced up to $50,000. How long is the battery warranty on a new BMW EV?
BMW of North America covers the high-voltage battery against defects in materials or workmanship for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and the coverage transfers to later owners for the rest of its term.
