The 2008 BMW X6 comes with a host of standard features to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, such as the drive belt for the AC compressor that comes with an independent clutch, which automatically disconnects the compressor as soon as the driver switches off the air-conditioning system.
The tires are equipped with reduced rolling resistance and the cooling air flaps are controlled electronically and reduce the air drag of the vehicle when closed. Adaptive Drive is another unique feature that monitors and calculates data on road speed, body and wheel velocity, steering angle, ride and damper position and longitudinal and lateral acceleration. The high-speed FlexRay data transmission used in the Adaptive Drive allows quick and reliable co-ordination of data.
The X6 features standard 19-inch light-alloy wheels, run-flat safety tires, sporty cockpit, racing knee pads in the front, individual molded seats in the rear and display in the instrument panel. The coupe boasts of 59.7-cubic feet of luggage space with the rear seats down.
