BMW offers the 5th generation of the 7 Series flagship

The 2009 BMW 7-Series lineup will offer two models, the 750i and 750Li. The L version gets a 5.5-inches longer wheelbase than the 750i. Powering both models is a 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 rated for 400 hp. Standard transmission will be a 6-speed automatic.

The 7-Series is also the world's first car available with a Side View camera system, which heightens driver awareness in addition to Park Distance Control to aid slow speed maneuvering. For 2009, blind-spot alert, lane-departure warning, a head-up display, side view and rearview cameras, and automatic high beams are new. A 40-gigabyte hard drive for the audio and navigation systems is also new for the 2009 model year.
